At Grand Isle Resort & Spa, the best of Great Exuma is right outside your door. From lounging on our white sand beach to world-class snorkeling, fun water sports, and the luxurious SeaStar Spa , Grand Isle offers the ultimate Exuma BLUE experience. Whatever your pleasure, we have numerous activities that are ideal for children, families and adults.

Outdoor Adventures

The beach at Grand Isle Resort & Spa is just a few steps from the resort. There are lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels available for guests who like to hang on the beach, and great finds for seashell hunters given the proximity to a living coral reef.

• Beach/Water Activities – snorkeling gear, ocean kayaks, boogie boards and skim boards are complimentary for Grand Isle guests. Hit the water like a pro!
  
• Beach Volleyball – meet at the net and bring your team (or put one together down at the beach)!
  
• Horseshoes – show them how it's done amidst the sun and surf.
  
• Bonfire Celebrations on the Beach – party on the beach Bahamian style.  Bonfires are available for a fee with advance notice (minimum 48 hours). 

Resort Infinity-Edge Pool

Grand Isle Resort & Spa features a free-form, infinity-edge pool that overlooks Emerald Bay.  Lay claim to the chaise lounges and umbrellas on the expansive sundeck, or relax with a tropical drink while enjoying a fire in the nearby chiminea.

Enjoy poolside food and beverage service from The Palapa Grill, as well.  All you need to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy this tropical paradise...the Grand Isle way. 

Note: Use of the pool and beach facilities is restricted to registered guests and owners of Grand Isle Resort & Spa. Supervision of children is the responsibility of adults in the party.

Resort Fitness Center

While it's easy enough to spend your days lounging by the pool or snorkeling in our stunning Exuma BLUE waters, Grand Isle also features a state-of-the-art Fitness Center for guests who wish to keep up with their workouts. Outfitted with Magnum Fitness Systems equipment, including strength training and cardiovascular machines, and free weights and weight accessories, this modern gym is complimentary for guests of the resort.

The Grand Isle Resort Fitness Center is located at the main recreation area next to the pool, and offers a flat-screen TV with surround sound, complimentary towels and ocean views.  It's accessible 24 hours a day and your villa key is required for entry.

Caribbean Adventures For Kids (Big & Small)

We know that the beauty of Great Exuma can inspire adventure in even our youngest visitors which is why we've come up with activities just for them. We're sure your children will love every minute at Grand Isle once they catch wind of this:
 

• Beach Treasure Hunts - your little pirates can scan for coins and other assorted buried treasure.
   
• Kite Flying on the Beach – the whole family can get involved with filling the sky with kites.

Championship Golf

 

Located next to Grand Isle Resort & Spa, guests can arrange tee times at the 18-hole championship golf course designed by golf legend Greg Norman. This award-winning course is a Par-72 at approximately 7,200 yards long, and uses an eco-friendly seashore paspalum grass for a lush, green canopy that blends harmoniously with the natural habitat.

This challenging course also features a series of dramatic fairways with stunning ocean views, as well as seaside dunes and a spectacular finish on a rocky peninsula overlooking the jewel-toned waters of Great Exuma. Perfect your swing on six signature holes that hug the edge of Emerald Bay while natural vegetation provides a frame for each hole.
